Alvarez & Marsal Taxand hires Stenftenagel for tax compliance role

Michael Stenftenagel, an experienced tax technology and compliance professional, has joined Alvarez & Marsal Taxand as a managing director in Houston.

He has advised clients in a variety of industries, including energy, manufacturing, telecommunications, insurance, banking and healthcare on tax technology solutions for income tax provision and compliance, ASC 740, US and state compliance and tax function process improvement.

Stenftenagel was formerly the tax services group leader at Sirius Solutions, providing ASC 740, tax technology, federal and state compliance and fixed asset services. Previous experience has included being responsible for US and foreign compliance, accounting for income taxes, transfer pricing and planning for a global oil-field service provider.
