Perkins Coie takes Squire Patton Boggs partner

Eliot Kaplan has joined Perkins Coie's corporate practice as partner in the Phoenix office, where he will help lead the business and tax practice.

Kaplan's practice covers international, federal, state and local tax, as well as real estate, private equity transactions and M&A. He advises on entity planning and structuring, fund formation, and business reorganisations and restructurings. A former attorney-adviser in the national office of the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), he also advises on complex tax issues and tax controversies.

He was formerly a partner of Squire Patton Boggs.
