As debate continues to swirl around the issue in Europe, the notion of a tax on financial transactions (FTT) is also gaining traction in the US. Senator Tom Harkin (Dem-Iowa), and Congressman Peter DeFazio (Dem-Oregon) have tabled legislation to introduce a form of the tax.
