KPMG US adds Mark Martin, Mark Horowitz, Tracy Gomes to TP team

People move big

Based on growing demand from clients for assistance with BEPS compliance, KPMG US has hired three new transfer pricing specialists, Mark Martin, Mark Horowitz and Tracy Gomes.

The three TP practitioners are part of a team of five lawyers and two economists that moved from McDermott Will & Emery. They are based in KPMG’s Texas office.

“We are seeing growing demand from multinationals to advise and respond to a wide range of international transfer pricing and tax controversy matters as a result of the OECD’s BEPS actions,” said Jeffrey C. LeSage, Vice Chairman of Tax at KPMG.

Martin and Horowitz are now principals at KPMG, with Martin also serving as national leader for TP dispute resolution, while Gomes is a managing director.

Martin was chair of McDermott Will & Emery’s TP practice group for nearly five years. He was also an attorney adviser to Judge Carolyn Miller Parr of the US Tax Court, among other things.

Horowitz was an associate at Gardere Wynne Sewell for nearly seven years before moving to McDermott Will & Emery, where he was promoted to partner.

Gomes previously worked for KPMG, before moving to Intellectual Property Economics and then Gardere Wynne Sewell. His latest role was chief economist at McDermott Will & Emery.
