Preston Quesenberry joins KPMG

KPMG has appointed Preston Quesenberry as managing director in the firm’s exempt organisations tax group in the US.

He will focus on clients in the tax-exempt sector including hospitals, colleges and universities, and other mission-driven charities.

Quesenberry previously worked in Loeb & Loeb, where he advised non-profit and tax-exempt clients on a wide variety of legal and strategic issues. 

Earlier, Quesenberry was special counsel in the tax exempt and government entities division of the IRS Office of Chief Counsel. Quesenberry drafted numerous Treasury regulations and other published guidance, including several guidance projects arising from the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. He also supported the Department of Justice and field attorneys with litigation and supervised attorneys in issuing private letter rulings and determination letters on exempt organisation issues.
