TP Week today launches the first in a series of detailed transfer pricing guides which will be available to subscribers of the TP Week website. The guide, which is available from today, covers the requirements of revenue authorities around the world in the contentious area of contemporaneous documentation.

In a series of interviews, conducted by TP Week, senior tax and transfer pricing directors from all sectors of industry say that the different requirements of jurisdictions worldwide on documentation are a major source of concern to practitioners. TP Week has asked senior advisers in all locations where transfer pricing documentation requirements exists to spell out the key elements.

This will include:

  • A brief summary of the transfer pricing documentation requirements in each jurisdiction

  • A link, where appropriate, to the official documents – usually on a government or revenue authority website

  • A summary of where transfer pricing documentation requirements differ from international standards or have local variations

The international guide to transfer pricing documentation starts with a series of reports on states as diverse as Australia, the UK and the US as well as China and Japan. Throughout February, every jurisdiction will be covered. Senior TP specialists from Baker & McKenzie, DLA Piper, Kim & Chang, Ernst & Young, Deloitte and KPMG, among others, are supplying reports from each state.

By the end of February, this will be single most comprehensive guide to transfer pricing documentation available anywhere. It will also be updated as states make changes to their approaches. The TP Week website is sufficiently flexible to provide subscribers with a state-of-the-art product which will be immediately valuable.
