Facchini Rossi Michelutti Studio Legale Tributario, which has 35 members, offers specialised tax advice services in a variety of fields, including M&A, tax litigation, international taxes, corporate tax, tax planning and tax advisory. Francesco Facchini, a partner and tax specialist, is a major figure within the firm. Luca Rossi and Riccardo Michelutti, two other founding partners, assist him.

During the study period, the firm aided Exor with the tax audit undertaken by the Italian tax authorities regarding the transfer of tax residence from Italy to the Netherlands, as well as the tax settlement procedure. The team also assisted Valaris on a tax litigation and subsequent settlement of a tax claim involving withholding tax on royalties paid to a Luxembourg business by an Italian permanent establishment of a German corporation.

Lino Ziliotti of Allen & Overy and Lorenzo Carlo Cadei of KPMG joined the firm during the research period, while Associates Marco Masi and Alessandra Pellegrini left.
