Leading global law firm, Dechert, demonstrates progressive policies for women and minorities in a podcast featuring three partners who won awards for their work at the Women in Business Law Awards.

Dechert’s commitment to diversity and inclusion is more than skin deep. The firm has extensive mentorship programmes that support female associates. In this podcast, three of their partners share how they have developed their diversity and inclusion (D&I) initiatives. As a leader in litigation and investigations, the podcast also explores how the firm assisted Airbus to reach its first coordinated global settlement with the UK, French and US authorities.

Caroline Black, partner at Dechert, who won the award for being the Best in White Collar Crime for her work on the Airbus case, speaks about the firm’s Global Women’s Initiative that includes soft skills training.

Katherine Helm’s expertise lies with intellectual property (IP) litigation in pharmaceuticals and biotech. Helm won an award this year for being the Best in Patents and is a founder of the New York chapter of Chiefs in Intellectual Property (ChIPs), which supports women in technology, law and policy.

Finally, Aparna Sehgal, who leads on finance and real estate speaks effusively about Dechert’s sponsorship and sustained support (SASS) programme, enabling 31% of female associates to reach partnership at the firm.
