New head of Russian and CIS tax practice for Goltsblat BLP

Goltsblat BLP has announced Evgeny Timofeev’s appointment as a partner. He will lead the firm’s Russian and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) tax practice.

Before his appointment at Goltsblat BLP, Timofeev was a partner at the Moscow office of Salans, from where he also co-headed the firm’s Global Tax Practice.

The appointment of Timofeev is the latest in the firm’s expansion in the area. Andrey Shpak joined from PwC during 2010, with Simon Allan also moving from BLP in London to the Moscow office earlier this year.
