Transfer pricing automation in ERP systems: traps for compliance

Dr. Arin Mitra is a vice president in the transfer pricing (TP) practice of CRA. He is a financial economist and a TP and tax valuation expert. He has over 30 years of experience dealing with all facets of TP, including planning, implementing and defending transfer prices for large multinational corporations, primarily in the life sciences, technology and branded consumer products industries. He has designed and implemented automation of transaction-level transfer pricing in enterprise resource planning systems. He has testified as an expert in litigation and has negotiated over 40 bilateral advance pricing agreements involving the US, Japan, Australia, India, France, Switzerland and Canada. He has a PhD in Economics from Brown University and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Mr. Robin Hart has more than 20 years of experience in intercompany pricing for transfer pricing (TP) and customs valuation purposes. He is a principal in Charles River Associates’ TP practice based in the San Francisco Bay Area and has served clients across many industries, including consumer products, retail, and life sciences. Robin has advised multinational companies in establishing pricing policies for customs valuation and TP purposes, supply chain reorganisation for tariff mitigation purposes, and in IRS and CBP audits. Robin holds a Master's degree in Economics and German from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland.
