New global head of tax at KPMG

Jane McCormick has been appointed as KPMG’s global head of tax.

McCormick has worked at KPMG for 24 years in various leadership roles within the firm’s financial services tax practice. She began her tax career with the UK Inland Revenue, now HMRC.

McCormick was previously the head of the UK corporate tax practice for KPMG. In 2012, she was appointed head of the tax pensions practice in the UK, before again being promoted to head of tax for the firm’s Europe, Middle East and Africa region (EMEA).

She is a member of KPMG’s EMA board, as well as the senior tax partner for KPMG.

McCormick has taken responsibility for KPMG’s professional conduct in tax and will lead the firm’s engagement with governments, tax authorities, professional bodies and clients.
