Jesse Norman becomes financial secretary to UK Treasury

The UK’s Transport Minister Jesse Norman will replace Mel Stride as financial secretary to the Treasury and paymaster general.

Norman, a former Barclay’s banker and philosophy lecturer, has been appointed to the position as part of a mini-reshuffle by Prime Minister Theresa May.

Stride will serve as leader of the House of Commons, replacing Andrea Leadsom, who resigned on May 22.
