Cristiane Gatti Bechara opens own tax firm in Brazil

Cristiane Gatti Bechara has opened her own law firm, called Cristiane Gatti Advocacia, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

With 20 years' tax experience, specialising in tax services for Brazilian individuals holding assets out of the country and to non-Brazilians holding assets in Brazil, as well as family-owned businesses, Bechara decided to set up a law firm.

The firm will focus on individual tax services and tax work for companies belonging to family-owned structures. It will also collaborate with other law firms and accountants around the world in matters related to Brazilian taxation.

Bechara has been working as a solo practitioner since July 2014. Before this, she has worked at law firms and in-house tax teams at Intercorp Group, Endesa (Enel Green Power), Branco Consultores, Andersen Legal, PwC, and the Brazilian IRS.
