Jorge has more than 15 years of experience in transfer pricing matters, both in the private and public sectors; he has worked in different Big Four and law firms in Colombia and Chile, as well as in the Chilean Tax Authority.

  • Jorge has advised clients in different industries such as Oil & Gas, mining, construction, Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT), agriculture, energy, financial and investment, pharmaceutical, mass consumption, among others.
  • Jorge has led and coordinated consultancies on Transfer Pricing matters for different jurisdictions in South America.
  • He has had the opportunity to advise multinationals on TP documentation, TP planning, TP policy design and implementation, business restructuring and value chain analysis, IP and Intangible valuation models, Cash pooling and financial structures, negotiation of Advance Price Agreements (APA’s), among others.

KPMG Colombia has a team of two hundred and seventy professionals who provide specialized tax and legal services in the areas of compliance, advisory, International Tax, M&A, transfer pricing, litigation, customs, and BPO services. The team supports clients across many sectors of the economy which include insurance, technology, and tourism. It advises on projects in the public sector as well. 

In 2024, the KPMG Colombia team remained active in the Corporate Tax space. The firm advised Team Foods Colombia in a matter related to the ICUI tax, which targets industrial processed food products. With their assistance, they were able to identify products that trigger this tax and strategize moving forward. Currently KPMG Colombia is acting for Santander de Negocios Colombia in an ongoing tax dispute.

In recent years the firm has been active in recruitment, hiring a new Transfer Pricing Partner Jorge Angarita. Jorge joins the team from EY Chile. The firm also brought on a new director of International Tax and M&A,Oscar Munevar joins the team from Garrigues.
