Two new tax partners arrive at Akin Gump

Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld has added two new partners to its tax practice.

Lucy Lee (left) has joined from EY, where she led the firm’s cross-border private client services group in its national tax department and was the firm’s liaison to international tax services. Before that, she worked for GE as international corporate tax counsel. She will be based in Washington, DC.

She will advise the firm’s clients on US tax law pertaining to entering and exiting platforms in bilateral or

multilateral jurisdictions, and in planning and managing the US tax and reporting implications of living and working globally.

Alison Chen (right) has joined the tax practice as a partner in Houston. She advises on the US federal income tax aspects of domestic and international transactions, primarily within the energy sector.
