Christine Lane has been promoted from senior associate to partner at the Washington DC office.
Lane focuses her practice on US federal tax aspects of complex business transactions including domestic and cross-border mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures, and recapitalisations.
She also advises clients on the tax aspects of securities issuances, bankruptcy and restructuring and investment fund formation.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Lane worked as an attorney for the IRS where she focused on the taxation of insurance companies, products and transactions. She also held the position of special assistant United States attorney where she handled a variety of tax matters before the United States Tax Court and United States Bankruptcy Court.
Aaron Burchell and Nicole Brown have both been promoted to counsel.
Burchell is located at the firm’s London office. He advises on the corporate tax aspects of a range of transactions, including company disposals, acquisitions, corporate finance transactions, property and group reorganisations.
Brown, based in Washington DC, focuses on domestic and international real-estate transactions involving REIT and other public and private real-estate companies and investors.
