The Internal Revenue Service in the US is looking for new members for its Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee (IRPAC).

IRPAC advises the IRS on different tax administration issues, such as emerging compliance issues and international reporting and withholding. The IRS is looking for eight new members of the 21-person committee to start three-year terms at the beginning of 2014. The members, who are all volunteers, come from the taxpaying public, tax professional community, small and large businesses, colleges and universities, state tax administrations, banks, insurance companies, foreign financial institutions, and the software and payroll industries.

The deadline for nominations is May 31. Prospective members can self-nominate or be put forward by a professional organisation.
