New COO announced for ICAEW

The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW) has appointed Vernon Soare as its new chief operating officer.

Soare has been executive director at ICAEW since 2006. His new role will be to improve operational efficiency at the institute by taking charge of financial management, IT property services and marketing.

The ICAEW elected a new vice president, Paul Aplin, in February.
