New president appointed to UK First-tier Tribunal

Upper Tribunal Judge Sinfield

The UK Courts and Tribunals Judiciary has appointed Gregory John Sinfield to president of the First-tier Tribunal’s Tac Chamber.

Sinfield will begin his new role in the Tax Chamber, London, from October 11 2017. Prior to his appointment, Sinfield was a salaried judge of the Upper Tribunal within the Tax and Chancery Chamber, a position he held since 2012. He was admitted as a solicitor in 1989, and became a barrister in 1981.
