Attalla joins Cragus in Dubai

The Cragus Group in Dubai, UAE, has appointed Abdelhamid Attalla as the newest member of its tax leadership team.

He is moving from General Electric, where he served as Middle East and Africa corporate tax director. He has previously worked for PwC and Anderson in both the UK and the US. Before his time with GE he was a senior tax partner with KPMG’s Egypt operation, as well as chief operating officer of KPMG’s tax practice across the Middle East.

Attalla is one of the few high-level tax professionals working in this area of the world who is fluent in both Arabic and English, and he holds professional qualifications from Egyptian and American universities.

He has performed various speaking engagements including for the Tax Executives Institute, as well as being published on numerous occasions, including in the International Tax Review.
