Lluís Fargas, vice president of tax and corporate development Europe at Alcoa, has been re-elected for the second consecutive year to Tax Executives Institute (TEI) executive committee.

Fargas’s appointment took place during TEI’s 70th annual conference last year in Dallas, Texas.

Fargas was appointed vice president of tax and corporate development Europe at Alcoa in January 2013. He manages the European tax function, assuming also the responsibilities for managing the corporate development strategy of the company in Europe.

Before joining Alcoa, Fargas worked for five years as senior legal and tax manager in the international tax department at Coopers & Lybrand, in Barcelona.

He was also president of TEI’s European, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) chapter from July 2011 to June 2012.
