Andersen Tax has announced its debut in Kenya with Nexus Africa Consulting becoming a full member of the international network and taking on the brand.

The Kenyan firm is overseen by managing partner Philip Muema, who has more than 20 years of experience in tax law. Muema worked at KPMG for 15 years and became the firm’s head of tax in East Africa, overseeing tax services in 13 countries. He left KPMG in December 2013 to launch his own boutique firm.

The Nairobi-based practice offers tax and business solutions to individuals and companies operating in East Africa and abroad. These services cover M&A deals, due diligence, transfer pricing, corporate tax, VAT, litigation and cross-border tax planning.

It had previously announced a collaboration with Andersen Global.
