KPMG hires six to US tax teams

The firm has hired two principals and four managing directors to its tax practices in Washington, New York, Silicon Valley, Minneapolis, and San Francisco.

Tony Coughlan, who was the Senate Finance Committee’s senior tax counsel during the passage of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, will be a managing director at the firm’s national tax practice in Washington, DC.

Simona Vasile, who has previously worked on individual income tax compliance, will be managing director in the New York global mobility services practice.

Erinn Madden is a specialist in compensation and benefits, as well as global equity, and will be managing director at the Washington national tax compensation and benefits group.

Sri Nagarajan joins the economic and valuation services practice in Silicon Valley, having previously advised multinationals on transfer pricing.

Gina DeConcini will be managing director in the firm’s Minneapolis state and local tax practice. She will build on a quarter-century of work in various aspects of corporate tax affairs in Minneapolis.

Kathy Lo, a former principal at Deloitte, will be a principle in the global reward services practice in San Francisco.
