Brazilian law firm TozziniFreire has promoted Christiane Alvarenga and Erlan Valverde to tax partners in São Paulo.

Alvarenga joined the firm in 2015 as a senior associate lawyer. She specialises in tax consultancy and litigation, covering a wide range of areas including the mining, chemical, pharmaceutical, engineering, technology, cosmetics, energy and food industries.

Valverde has been with the firm since March 2018, previously working at EY. He has more than 15 years of experience in advising Brazilian and foreign companies on various issues including tax planning, M&A operations and corporate restructurings, tax advice on inbound and outbound investments, structuring financial products and investment funds, international taxation, indirect taxes, succession planning and strategic litigation.
