The firm is led by founding partner Rafael Salazar and specializes in corporate tax. transactional tax, indirect tax, cross border matters, and real estate tax. The team is well versed in a number of industries including gaming, tourism, gambling, and travel. 

During the research period, Salazar & Zuniga was active in the Tax Controversy arena. The firm was involved in an audit defense procedure for a client in which they had an unfavorable ruling overturned. The firm was also involved in tax planning for an economic group in order to optimize tax burdens. Due to the nature of these matters, details remain confidential.  

In 2025, Salazar & Zuniga was active in recruitment. In February the firm welcomed new associate lawyer Luis Americo Mendoza Palomino. Luis joins the team from a previous position at Quantum Consultores.
