The tax department of Osterling is led by José Del Castillo. The practice advices across a range of tax concerns, including, corporate taxation, tax planning, audits, as well as preventive advisory aimed to reduce tax-related risk. The team provides both preventive and specific services on day-to-day tax related matters, as well as in specific complex cases such as, audits, and tax structuring for M&A deals.  

During the research period, Osterling’s tax team was called upon to provide their legal opinions for the Peruvian Congress. The issue at hand was regarding the tax treatment of educational institutions in Peru. Osterling gave its opinions on three bills directed at educational reform that is to come.
