Kirkland & Ellis adds four new tax partners

Four tax lawyers have been promoted to the partnership of Kirkland & Ellis.

JoAnne Mulder Nagjee’s practice covers tax controversy, including IRS audits, IRS appeals and litigation and the tax aspects of complex business transactions, which are also a feature of the practice of Ilan Naptan, the other new partner in Chicago. The matters he advises on include domestic and cross-border M&A and leveraged buyouts, as well as joint ventures, recapitalisations, and debt and equity restructurings.

Dulcie Sawle Daly, a new partner in London, focuses on UK and international tax planning and advises on the tax aspects of cross-border private equity and M&A transactions, private fund structuring, finance and real estate transactions.

As well as being a member of the tax group, Benjamin Panter, in New York, is also part of the employee benefits and executive compensation group. His practice focuses on advising private and public companies, private equity funds, senior executives and entrepreneurs on a wide variety of executive compensation matters, including structuring and implementing management equity arrangements and incentive equity and cash bonus plans.
