Ernst & Young has made four appointments in its employment tax team in the UK.
Ian Hopkinson, previously the leader of KPMG’s people services team, specialises in helping organisations manage the costs and risks of employing people, particularly on UK and international employment tax issues and employee benefits. He has worked with clients across a range of industries, with a particular focus on media and technology.
Rajesh Bhundia is responsible for leading the firm’s financial services employment tax team across the UK. He has also joined the firm from KPMG and specialises in working with banking and insurance clients.
John Chaplin specialises in helping clients to deal with tax issues in their labour supply, from improving the tax efficiency of employment packages to advising agencies and businesses involved in labour supply on the impact of legislative changes, such as the Agency Worker’s Regulations.
Mark Morton leads Ernst & Young’s employment tax team in the East of England and also heads the company car consulting team. Hehas worked with a number of motor manufacturers and retailers, applying his knowledge of company car fleet planning and Employee Car Ownership arrangements.
