Vertex has promoted Bernadette Pinamont to vice president of tax research.

Pinamont has worked in the tax industry for more than 30 years. She is a leading example of a successful woman working in the tax sector and, as such, shared her knowledge and expertise at ITR’s inaugural Women in Tax forum in February 2018.

She takes on her new role after serving as the chief tax officer for income tax in the Vertex Chief Tax Office for the past five years.

Pinamont will now be responsible for helping the company’s customers meet strategic needs, ensuring compliance and enhancing operational efficiency. In addition, her responsibilities will include further defining and expanding the reach of tax research.

Prior to joining Vertex, Pinamont served in leading tax roles at Endo Pharmaceuticals and AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, in addition to holding tax positions at DuPont, Syngenta, Tyco Toys and EY.
