Dr Kirsten Cassar is an associate forming part of the corporate and finance practice group at Camilleri Preziosi.

Kirsten graduated as Doctor of Laws from the University of Malta after submitting a thesis on the 'Developments to Article 7 of the OECD Model Tax Treaty and Commentary in light of the OECD 2010 Report on the Attribution of Profits to Permanent Establishments'. Shortly after, Kirsten embarked on an LLM in corporate and securities law at the University of London.

Kirsten practises in the areas of direct and indirect tax matters, primarily in the provision of domestic and international tax advisory and tax restructuring services, including providing advice particularly in the remit of identifying implications of, and devising tax efficient structures for, local as well as cross-border transactions.

Kirsten also regularly assists in advising clients on the corporate law aspects of a wide range of transactions and other areas including corporate finance, M&A and capital markets. This provides clients with comprehensive insight on a wide range of matters which might have an impact on any particular transaction whether strictly related to the fiscal implications of a transaction or otherwise.
