Simón is based in Tijuana and Mexico City and is the lead partner for Deloitte’s transfer pricing (TP) practice in Latin America and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean region.
He has more than 31 years of experience in the application of tax, economic, and financial criteria in TP valuation, the analysis of intangibles, double taxation issues, planning, business model optimisation, structuring, and economic consulting. Simón advises across a variety of industry sectors, with a focus on automotive and manufacturing, maquiladoras, retail and consumer goods, real estate, and the energy and resources market.
He was recognised as the 2020 Transfer Pricing Practice Leader of the Year in Latin America by ITR. Simón is the lead TP adviser for the National Export Maquiladoras and Manufacturers Association and a board member and past vice-president of the Transfer Pricing Commission at the Mexican Chartered Accountants Institute. He holds a master’s degree in economics and finance from the University of Warwick’s Business School in the UK.
