Tax

DLA Piper Hungary Tax is a strong stand-alone practise with competence in tax and customs law advice on local and international markets, including tax planning, taxation and customs litigation and transactional tax. The group consists of 11 tax advisors and six associates. The practice is co-led by Akos Becher and Levente Torma.

During the research phase, the firm represented a multinational conglomerate in a substantial tax dispute over the applicability of the royalties withholding tax regime to cost-sharing agreements. The team also provided tax advice services to a Lear Group subsidiary in the process of collecting interest on delayed value-added tax refunds.
