Deloitte Austria’s Tax and Legal department is headed by Herbert Kovar. Tax and Legal specialists apply an integrated approach, offering their clients process and project management in addition to their core services.

The transfer pricing practice of Deloitte Austria is led by Karin Andorfer whose multidisciplinary team of 15 professionals provides a competitive advantage in conducting complex restructurings and transfer pricing projects. The growth of Deloitte Austria’s transfer pricing practice can be attributed to the comprehensive specialized knowledge of its team, the dynamic advisory work within its global network and its industry know-how.

Since 2017, its Legal team has offered expertise in corporate law, M&A, banking, restructuring, real estate, IT, IP, and litigation. Led by Herbert Kovar, the Tax and Legal department is Austria’s largest by revenue and staff. The Transfer Pricing team, headed by Karin Andorfer, advises global clients across industries. Deloitte also dominates the Private Clients market, serving ultra-high-net-worth individuals and family businesses. With 34 lawyers, Deloitte Legal delivers integrated, seamless services as part of the global Deloitte Legal network. 

During the research period, the firm advised on restructuring a private foundation with Austrian and U.S. subsidiaries, ensuring compliance and strategic financial planning throughout the process. In addition, the team was engaged for a major business carve-out, involving a tax-neutral reorganization, spin-off, and successful advance ruling to optimize tax compliance.
