KPMG grows tax disputes and TP teams with new hires

KPMG has appointed Angela Savin as partner in its disputes and investigations team, and Kriti Velji and Nick Stevart both join as directors in the transfer pricing team.

Savin, who previously worked at Norton Rose Fulbright as a tax partner, specialises in tax dispute resolution, overseeing significant and complex cases. She has particular expertise in resolving cross-border tax disputes, as well as working on matters involving the allocation of taxing rights between states, double tax treaties and permanent establishment.

Velji joins KPMG’s TP-focused disputes team after working at the Inland Revenue Department in New Zealand for 25 years, specialising in TP and international tax since 2005.

Stevart previously worked on competent authority engagement at HMRC. He led the UK tax authority’s APA programme and the team of delegated competent authorities working on non-financial APA and MAP cases.

The latest hires follow the recent appointments of Jennifer Cooper, international tax director, from EY, as well as Alla Fokina, who joined as a transfer pricing director from PwC, and Trevor Danks, a transfer pricing director who returned to KPMG after spending time in industry.
