Francesca Lagerberg is the global leader for tax services at Grant Thornton, a leading international accounting organisation, with offices in more than 140 countries and revenue of more than $4.6 billion. Her role includes leading the global tax strategy, global tax policy issues, tax risk management and supporting on the provision of an outstanding client experience and staff experience, where talent can thrive.

She also sits on the global leadership team and has operational responsibility for helping Grant Thornton member firms in Europe drive growth across all business areas.

Francesca regularly speaks out on tax issues, and in the past year has featured in numerous publications, TV and radio programmes. This includes regular slots on the BBC and CNN and comments in newspapers such as the Wall Street Journal, the Financial Times and the Economist. She is a regular speaker and panellist at tax events and has spoken on five continents. Francesca has led on consultation responses on a range of international issues, such as BEPS and actively lobbies governments for better and more proportionate tax rules. She also is a spokesperson for Grant Thornton on a range of broader economic issues, including encouraging women to take more senior roles in business. Her work on tax and business campaigns have led to several nominations and awards.

She has worked in tax for more than two decades and is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation, a qualified barrister and coach. She is a past chairman of the tax faculty of the ICAEW and has worked on various UK government andtax authority working parties.
