Bennett Jones adds five to its tax team

The Canadian firm Bennett Jones has appointed Ed Kroft, Jehad Haymour, and Deborah Toaze as partners and Sophie Virji and Eric Brown as associates to the Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto offices.

Kroft and Toaze, who will be based in Toronto and Vancouver, respectively, both come from Blake, Cassels & Graydon and specialise in transfer pricing. Kroft will also serve as head of the firm’s tax litigation and dispute resolution practice.

Haymour, based in Calgary, comes from Dentons and specialises in tax disputes.

Virji, based in Calgary, focuses on tax dispute resolution and Brown, based in Vancouver, specialises in tax litigation.
