HMRC appoints new general counsel

Alan Evans is the new general counsel and solicitor for the UK tax authority, HM Revenue and Customs.

Evans, who currently works as the legal director at the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs, will join HMRC from January 1 2019 and be part of the executive committee.
