Baker Botts elects John Martin as next managing partner

John Martin has been elected as managing partner at Baker Botts,, and will commence his four-year term on April 1 2019.

Martin is the partner-in-charge of the firm’s Palo Alto office and is responsible for recruiting. He is also a member of the firm’s executive committee. He has more than 30 years of experience with Baker Botts representing clients in M&A, corporate governance, capital markets and complex technology transactions.

Martin will succeed Andrew Baker, who served two terms as managing partner.
