The former co-head of Bingham's tax group has found a new home.

Anthony Carbone has joined Willkie Farr & Gallagher as a tax partner in the firm's New York office.

Carbone advises clients including private equity funds, deal sponsors, investment banks and commercial banks; hedge funds, and venture capital, real estate and foreign and domestic funds, on tax planning strategies and the tax consequences of business and investment transactions, such as leveraged buyouts, M&A and reorganisations.

Carbone was formerly co-head of Bingham's tax group before that firm closed down after more than 750 of its staff moved to Morgan Lewis last November.
