Eline Polak_crop

Eline Polak has been appointed as a tax partner at Mazars' Amsterdam office.

She will focus on strengthening the VAT and customs practice. Polak started her career with KPMG as a VAT and customs specialist in 1996 and has worked as a tax lawyer for various firms, including Baker & McKenzie.

In 2005, she was appointed judge of the Tax and Customs division of the Haarlem District Court and moved to the Arnhem-Leeuwarden Court of Appeal in 2010. Last year she was appointed to Justice of the Amsterdam Court of Appeal, dealing primarily with VAT and customs cases and will remain with the Arnhem-Leeuwarden Court of appeal as a deputy justice.

Polak started as a partner on 1 July.
