Nisim Pahima, Deloitte Israel, provides VAT and customs support. As head of the indirect tax department he is responsible, among other things, for writing and submitting requests for pre-ruling from the Israel Tax Authority (ITA), contestations to tax assessments, and representation of various clients with the ITA.

Before joining Deloitte Israel, Nisim was the chief coordinator in the professional (VAT) department within the headquarters of the ITA. The role entailed writing professional guidelines, tax rulings, interpretations, etc. In addition, Nisim was in charge of all interns in the department and was also teaching and instructing in a variety of courses held by the ITA (e.g. ITA inspector's course, VAT auditors course).

Nisim represents multinational clients in tax ruling processes with the ITA and in a variety of domestic and international matters related to customs and global trade.
