Juan Carlos Cortez Espinoza, Deloitte Nicaragua, has more than 16 years of experience in the practice of public accounting, focused mainly on tax and audit practice. His expertise is focused on general tax consulting, tax dispute, financial and tax audits, tax due diligence and corporate and individual tax, as well as accustomed advice for companies in industries including telecommunications, transport, trade, energy and agriculture.

Before joining Deloitte, Juan Carlos was a tax and legal manager for another Big 4 firm. He is now in charge of the tax and legal practice of Deloitte & Touche, SA, focusing mainly in projects tax consultancy, tax disputes, tax for expats, M&A projects, tax planning and structuring for trans-national economic groups.

Juan Carlos has a bachelor's degree in public accounting and finance and a degree in law. He is also a member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) and the Nicaraguan Institute of Public Accountant, with authorisation to practice the profession (CPA) until April 23 2018.
