Nathan Hochman of Hochman, Salkin, Rettig, Toscher & Perez, a law firm in Beverly Hills in California, has been nominated by President Bush to be the new head of the Tax Division of the US Department of Justice. If the Senate ratifies his nomination, he will have the title of assistant attorney general and will succeed Eileen O'Connor, who joined Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman at the end of June. The Tax Division uses civil and criminal litigation to enforce the US's tax laws.
