Chief executive of Grant Thornton UK, Scott Barnes, has been reappointed for a second term.

Barnes joined the firm in 1984, was promoted to partner in 1987 and was appointed CEO in 2008, before leading the restructure of the firm during the economic downturn.

He has established a business plan for the firm through to 2015, which includes a revenue target of £500 million ($800 million) “to be achieved organically and through acquisition of specialist businesses”.
