Altalex, the Barcelona-based tax and legal firm, has hired Maria Manzano as a tax partner and opened a new office in Madrid.

Manzano has more than a decade of experience as an international and financial products tax advisor at EY in Madrid and New York. She will lead the Altalex tax practice in Madrid.

Altalex said the opening of the Madrid office was driven by clients including large multinational groups and financial entities, as well as medium-sized businesses.
