Orrick has appointed Laurent Olléon as a partner in its Paris tax team. He is the third member of the Conseil d’Etat to join the French firm.

Olléon has served various roles at France’s highest administrative law court. As a senior judge, Olléon served the Conseil d’Etat on tax matters in the energy sector, as well as cases in fields as far apart as labour law and antitrust legislation. He has also advised ministries and public agencies on drafting legislation.

Orrick’s presence in France goes back more than a decade to its merger with Rambaud Martel. The French firm serves CAC 40 companies and high-growth start-ups from a wide range of sectors, including energy, finance, technology and development.
