AKD welcomes Alexandre Hübscher as a partner in its investment funds practice in Luxembourg, effective 1 October. He advises national and international clients on asset management and investment funds, with a focus on private equity, real estate, debt and infrastructure funds. His arrival strengthens AKD’s investment funds practice and further supports the firm’s ambition to develop its Luxembourg practice as part of its broader Benelux strategy.

Alexandre has extensive experience structuring and establishing alternative investment funds, both regulated and unregulated. He also advises fund managers and sponsors on fundraising and the launch of new funds. In addition, he advises on service provider agreements, marketing and regulatory matters relating to investment funds.

“The investment funds market continues to evolve. Clients are facing increasingly complex regulation, while at the same time looking for efficient and well-considered fund structures,” says Alexandre Hübscher. “I want to help clients navigate this complexity and find solutions that work both legally and commercially. It is important to me not only to consider the legal question, but also to understand what the client is looking to achieve from a business perspective.”

“Alexandre brings a strong investment funds practice and a clear international perspective,” says Carlos Pita Cao, Managing Partner of AKD. “His experience aligns well with our ambitions in Luxembourg and with the way we want to support our clients across borders. His arrival is an important addition to our investment funds expertise and supports our broader ambition to further develop our Luxembourg practice as part of our Benelux strategy.”

For Alexandre, combining legal expertise with a strong understanding of the client’s business is an important part of his approach. “A business-focused mindset and a good understanding of your client’s expectations are essential to becoming a trusted adviser. That is how I want to practise: pragmatically, with commitment and focused on building long-term client relationships.”

Alexandre is admitted to the Paris and Luxembourg Bars and has lived in Luxembourg for the past fifteen years. Before joining AKD, he worked at various national and international law firms in Paris and Luxembourg.
