FTI Consulting’s European Tax Leader moves to Alvarez & Marsal

Marvin Rust, Taxand 100x90

Alvarez & Marsal, Taxand UK has appointed Marvin Rust managing director and European tax leader. He has joined the firm from FTI Consulting, where he served as head of European tax services for more than four years.

Rust has more than 30 years of experience in tax and transfer pricing services. He worked at Arthur Andersen and Deloitte before joining FTI Consulting in 2013. He specialises in such industries as tourism, hospitality and leisure, but his range of expertise covers telecommunications and pharmaceuticals as well.

Rust has extensive experience in restructuring, refinancing and transactions, including major deals valued at more than $8 billion. He has provided advice on advance pricing agreements (APAs), audits and complex transactions.
