Thompson & Knight hires Barrera in Mexico City

Mario Barrera has left Basham, Ringe y Correa to join the tax practice group in Thompson and Knight’s Mexico City office.

Harvard-educated Barrera’s practice mainly involves domestic and cross-border advisory, tax strategy and tax planning. He is also involved in work with clients facing tax authority audits, and administrative appeals, settlements and mutual agreement procedures.

He is a member of organisations including the Asociacion Nacional de Abogados de Empresa (National Association of Business Lawyers), the International Fiscal Association and the Transfer Pricing Commission, and is a common speaker on tax law.
