
Ricardo Villalobos
Ricardo is a partner at Copper Wolf who focuses on tax policy. A lawyer specialising in taxation and fiscal federalism, his professional career includes being an external consultant to the IMF from 2016 to date. Ricardo has participated as an international expert consultant on tax matters in IMF missions in various Latin American countries, concentrating his actions on the analysis and diagnosis of income tax in these countries and on the development of proposals for legal reforms to enhance efficiency and modernise the system, close gaps in tax evasion and avoidance, and improve tax collection.
He has also been a professor at the Universidad La Salle, the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), and the Universidad Marista de Yucatán, as well as giving guest lectures at the Universidad de las Américas de Puebla and the Universidad La Salle de Cancún.
